Getting started
How is this different from free tender alerts?
Find a Tender and Contracts Finder email every notice that matches your words. Tenderhooks picks the few research and consulting tenders that fit your firm each Monday, emails a new fit the same day, shows the buyer’s record from official award data, and reminds you before the deadlines of the ones you bid for. See How it works.
How does the trial work?
14 days with everything on, from a work email: one trial per firm (its email domain and subdomains), and no card. A trial that would end at a weekend runs to the Monday, and the days from 19 December to 4 January don’t count.
When do the emails come?
Your first bid plan comes as soon as your search first finds a fit, then every Monday at 7:00 UK time. A new tender that fits is emailed the same day on weekdays, at most two a day. Nothing yet? Look in your spam folder, then widen your search on Searches.
What happens after the trial?
Nothing is charged. Your searches and bids stay, and you get a free weekly look in Tenderhooks and by email: up to 10 new tenders a week that fit your searches, each with its title, buyer, deadline and official notice. The buyer’s record, Coming up, Bid and Skip, same-day emails and bid alerts come with the plan. If you don’t open Tenderhooks for 12 weeks, we ask once, then pause the email until you sign in again.
Can the whole firm use it?
Yes. One plan covers everyone on your firm’s email domain, at no extra cost. Colleagues sign in with their work email, and the person who started your firm’s team lets them in.
The tenders
Where do the tenders come from?
Official public notices only: Find a Tender (UK), Contracts Finder (England) and Public Contracts Scotland, read through their official APIs. See Data sources.
What isn’t covered yet?
Welsh tenders under £30,000 published only on Sell2Wales, Northern Ireland’s tenders below the UK-wide thresholds on eTendersNI, and Ireland, which comes later.
Do you use AI?
The picks and each buyer’s record are worked out in code from official data. A short summary of each tender is written by AI, labelled as such, beside the link to the official notice. See How we use AI.
What happens when we mark a tender Bid?
Everyone at your firm with bid alerts on gets an email when the buyer changes that tender, and reminders 3 days and 1 day before its deadline. Reminders come on weekdays: one due at a weekend comes on the Friday.
What can’t Tenderhooks do?
It doesn’t write bids, fetch tender documents or register you on buyers’ portals. It finds and tracks the public work worth your bid days.
Money
How much does it cost?
£35 a month + VAT for your whole firm, or €39 + VAT in Ireland, with unlimited users. Cancel any time. Yearly: £249 + VAT if you start by 31 January, kept when you renew. Full refund within 30 days. See Pricing.
Do prices include VAT?
No, prices exclude VAT. Our reseller Paddle.com is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, adds VAT where it applies and sends the invoice. UK firms pay in pounds, Irish firms in euros.
How do I pay?
Choose the plan in Tenderhooks and Paddle takes the payment on our checkout page. The plan starts the day you pay.
Can we pay by invoice or bank transfer?
Not yet. You pay through Paddle’s checkout, and Paddle sends a VAT invoice for every payment.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel any time, on Your plan in Tenderhooks or from Paddle’s emails. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. You can get a refund within 14 days of your first payment, or 30 days on a yearly plan bought at £249 or €290. See Refunds.
Your data and complaints
